What is CHURCH?

Posted By: Jessica Boigris on May 16, 2006 A body of believers functioning and acting in the will of God. Consisting of different members with different functions and duties. As the heart pumps blood through the body, it is a necessary part of the body but with out a brainf does the body function properly? NO... There is something that people seem to misuunderstand a CHURCH is not a four walled building or some other peice of property. Nor does it consist of a big cross on the wall. In the bible no where does it speak of a church building. God says not to forsake the gatherinng/assembling of is people.... not the building. You can have CHURCH (assembly) on the side of the road and God can be there or in a CHURCH (big building w/stained glass and huge pictures of the pastor) please do not mistake a building for the house of God. For if it were in His will for Him to be couped up in a building and only be entertained or dealt with on Sundays, why would He haved died on a cross and left His Spirit to live inside of us. Please if anyone could enlighten me on what I feel to be a misconception and give me some more insight. I might be viewing this in another manner. Thank you very much.
