Posted By: Kennedy Williams on December 16, 2021 Retired NBA star J.R. Smith has just completed his first semester at North Carolina A&T and to say he finished strong would be an understatement. In a video shared to Instagram, Smith got emotional sharing that he had finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA. In the video he said, “I can’t even describe the feeling, I ain’t even gonna lie to you. A lot of hard work went into that s—t. When I tell you some s—t you worked for, oh my God. Monday through Friday 8 to 11, sometimes longer. Straight school work, when you’re not used to going to school and all of that s—t, oh man.” Along with returning to school for an education, Smith has also thrived as a student-athlete on the Aggie golf team and has competed in four tournaments this semester. Not only do we love to see people going back and finishing their education, we LOVE to see someone make the choice to do it at one of our beloved institutions! Congratulations to J.R. Smith!
