Posted By: Kennedy Williams on January 05, 2022 And the momentum continues! Yet another top athlete has committed to Jackson State University. Thanks to the NCAA transfer portal, former South Carolina four-star tight end Keveon Mullin will join head football coach Deion Sanders at JSU this year. Sanders continues to play a huge role in top athletes deciding to choose to attend HBCUs, and why JSU has managed to snag all-star talent. Just last month, the No. 1 high school football recruit Travis Hunter de-committed from Flordia State to join Coach Prime in Jackson. Whatever recruiting system Deion has in place is definitely working! “I have a 40-40-20 formula. Forty percent grad transfers, 40% in the portal, and 20% high school," said Sanders. "And what we recruited, is phenomenal. We recruited up at every position we needed hope in. I look for a better team, on estate’s smarter, faster, and a lot more physical.” We loveeee to see so many talented athletes make the best decision of their lives and commit to attending one of our beloved institutions!
