Evan Lefft: Following Your Passion
|
Posted By: Heidi Buech on January 13, 2022 Evan Lefft is the founder of AAWOL (Athletic Apparel Without Limits), a sportswear and e-commerce company striving to give voice to the next generation through Sports-inspired lifestyle apparel, storytelling and branded experiences. Evan created AAWOL in 2017 with a mission of “Connecting the World through Sports.” Early success resulted in AAWOL establishing long-term partnerships with some of the biggest names in sports, including the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder. Two more announcements of partnerships with pro-teams are forthcoming. With a life-long passion for sports and apparel, Evan’s intent was to pursue a career in sports law and work in a professional sports front office, however, a desire for entrepreneurship took hold and Evan wanted the opportunity to reimagine ways to interact in a traditional space and participate in the sports industry in a more innovative manner. In 2012 and 2015, he founded Sporrty and The Made Brand, predecessors of AAWOL, which provided the foundation for the emphasis of creating deep and meaningful interactions with consumer and sports fans through commerce, content and community. In 2018 & 2019, Evan was identified as a finalist for the Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Retail Category. He received his B.A. in Economics from Morehouse College.
