Segregation in Omaha, NE

Posted By: Parise B. Bailey on May 18, 2006 I recently read an article on making three "separate but equal" school districts in Omaha: 1 white, 1 black and 1 Hispanic. I started to myself: is this really such a bad thing afterall. It seems that when we were separated, education was more important. Big Momma and nem made sure their children were educated by any means. Now, we are "equal" and materialism reigns supreme. Most of "our" children have no respect for any teachers, especially ones that look like them. It seems that in many areas, we are steadily regressing and other groups are passing us by because of the ignorance we still possess as a race. Where do we go from here? My feelings are mixed on this, Old Testament, New Testament there are Pros and Cons. Plenty of scriptural passages where seperate was the best thing and God commanded, togetherness was the best goal and commanded by God but You know what? Man always messed that up never God.
