Guest speaker: NC Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls We celebrate the A&T Four every year because their courageous acts precipitated a momentous movement; a movement that empowered some, but angered others. While that dichotomy remains, without them our lives could be vastly different. We salute them annually on the day they sat down at the F.W. Woolworth's lunch counter, in Greensboro, North Carolina, and peacefully requested service. Their protest sparked a national movement and precipitated Woolworths eventually integrating their lunch counters nationwide.
