Anderson Institute for Social Justice Presents “Shaping the Future of Environmental Justice” This will be a discussion with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Region 4 Administrator, Daniel Blackman. The goal of EPA’s HBCU Strategy is to foster stronger relationships with HBCUs by enhancing opportunities for recruitment of students and providing support through grants, contracts, transparent data sharing, and community engagement. The agency is looking to identify gaps and recommend opportunities for partnership with and support of HBCUs in the areas of recruitment, resources, research, and community Engagement. This work will provide recommendations to the Administrator being a key piece of the EPA’s HBCU Action Plan, which will be announced sometime in May 2022. EVENT INFORMATION Tougaloo College Bennie G.
