The Afterschool Alliance is looking to hire a Project Associate and wants YOU to APPLY! The Afterschool Alliance is a nonprofit advocacy and public awareness organization based in Washington, D.C. working to ensure that all children and youth have access to quality afterschool programs. The Project Associate will serve on the research team and field outreach teams, working closely with the Vice President of Research and the Vice President of Field Outreach, helping update the afterschool field on new afterschool-specific research and evaluations, highlight best practices and promising afterschool programs, and assist in the tracking of federal and state-level afterschool policies. Additionally, the Project Associate will contribute to our national field development efforts, helping educate programs and advocates about ways to strengthen their efforts, and put lessons learned from research into practice. Responsibilities of the position include: • Read, analyze, and translate dense research and evaluation findings, as well as public opinion research, into easily accessible materials for a non-expert audience; • Write a wide range of materials, including fact sheets, blog posts, website copy, social media posts, and more; • Support major field outreach and research efforts, which can include conducting literature reviews and landscape scans, assisting in the development and production of publications, and leading interviews with various stakeholders For more info about job requirements, responsibilities, and how to APPLY, click HERE!
