If so, Drexel University is hiring a Professor and Director in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management wants YOU to APPLY. As faculty, the successful candidate will contribute to the department’s education, industrial engagement, and research activities in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (SYSE/EGMT). The faculty member will be expected to develop and teach industry relevant courses online and on campus, advise capstone projects, mentor students, and build relationships with industry partners. Candidates will have the opportunity to teach within the graduate and undergraduate curriculum in areas such as systems, leadership, project management, software design, and industrial engineering. Additionally, the faculty member will participate in curriculum development, program accreditation efforts, serve on college committees that maintain and improve the instructional program, and participate in professional development. Primary responsibilities of the Program Director are to work with the faculty to achieve strategic goals and to ensure the academic quality of the program. The Program Director has the responsibility for teaching assignments and annual teaching loads for all faculty within the programs. The Program Director will oversee recruitment and is responsible for the promotion of qualified faculty. In addition, the Program Director will actively encourage increased efforts in research and scholarship; support new initiatives including credit, non-credit, and custom training programs; lead assessment and evaluation; and program accreditation and reporting activities. Finally, the Program Director will oversee academic administrative activities to ensure instructional support to faculty and students.
