Attention All Investment Analyst: BioGenerator Ventures is Hiring

Posted By: Kennedy Williams on March 24, 2022 Do you have a PhD in biosciences or a related discipline from a major research institution, a strong interest in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization, and previous exposure to startups, licensing, and market analysis? If so, BioGenerator Ventures is hiring and they want YOU to APPLY! BioGenerator is the startup arm of BioSTL, which has been a leader in the long-term development of St. Louis’ bioscience startup ecosystem. BioGenerator Ventures’ current portfolio is aligned with St. Louis’ strengths, including therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, agtech, food/nutrition, and healthcare. In 2021, BioGenerator Ventures invested in 18 startup companies and the BioGenerator Ventures portfolio raised over $1B in capital. In total, these portfolio companies have raised over $2.5B. In addition to helping build and invest in companies as a member of the BioGenerator Ventures team, the role will leverage the BioGenerator Labs, which bring together technology, talent, proof of concept grants, coaching, grant training, and innovative laboratory space in a suite of tools designed to accelerate new ventures. The Investment Analyst will also work with BioGenerator’s Centers of Defense Medicine and Pandemic Resiliency to select the most promising technologies within the centers to be the basis of new BioGenerator Ventures portfolio companies. As a member of the BioGenerator Ventures team, the Investment Analyst, utilizing scientific, finance, and business experience, will actively participate in the following responsibilities: • Help create and build de novo St. Louis bioscience companies • Source and triage opportunities from research institutions, entrepreneurs, BioGenerator Labs and Centers, and other professional investment groups • Perform scientific and business assessments of new company concepts and early-stage ventures; design milestone-based, go/no go decision funnels on a project-specific basis For more information about job requirements, responsibilities, and how to apply, click here!
