TV/Film Producer, Rushion McDonald, welcomed at 2022 HBCU College Day and Career Fair Expo

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on April 11, 2022 The City of Houston welcomed 2x EMMY Award-winner, 3x NAACP Image Award-winning TV/Film producer, Houston native Rushion McDonald and HBCU College Day and Career Fair Expo with a proclamation on March 29th of HBCU College Day. The HBCU College Day and Career Fair Expo on April 2nd in Houston, TX, attracted more than 4K high school students, parents and influencers to the 1st annual event on the campus of Texas Southern University hosted by Rushion McDonald. There were on-site enrollment opportunities and scholarships available through the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and the U.S. Army to attend HBCUs. In addition to Texas Southern University, one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive HBCUs, the HBCU College Day and Career Fair Expo featured HBCUs from multiple states. The HBCUs in attendance included: Prairie View A&M (Prairie View, TX); Huston-Tillotson University (Austin, TX); Spelman College (Atlanta, GA); Kentucky State University (Frankfort, KY); University of Maryland Eastern Shore (Princess Anne, MD); Langston University (Langston, OK); Grambling State University (Grambling, LA); Alcorn State University (Lorman, MS); Jackson State University (Jackson, MS); Miles College (Fairfield, AL); and Jarvis Christian College (Hawkins, TX).
