Raleigh, N.C., April 5, 2022—Marques Ogden, a former NFL player, inspirational keynote speaker, three-time best-selling author (Sleepless Nights; The Success Cycle), business coach and consultant, co-host of The Lev & Marques Show and founder of Ogden Ventures LLC, has been inducted into the Howard University Athletic Hall of Fame. This award recognizes and honors the greatest student-athletes, coaches and administrators in the illustrious history of Howard University Athletics. Ogden’s late father, Shirrel Ogden, was a Howard University alumnus and was a major reason he attended the University. “Marques’ participation in Howard University Athletics contributed to the rich legacy on which the University was founded and set an example of excellence on which it can continue to build,” said Bison Express Board. “Marques’ accomplishments were outstanding; his pursuit of greatness was all-encompassing and the results of his efforts were exhilarating. The memories he left us are forever etched in our minds and now, published in Howard history.” Ogden hopes his achievements and the legacy he leaves will continue to inspire future generations of aspiring athletes for years to come. The 2022 Induction Class will be honored and celebrated on September 30, 2022, at the Hall of Fame ceremony. In addition, Ogden was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Health as an ambassador for his commitment to advocate for better health accessibility. He was also named on CORE Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential Blacks Today list, alongside iconic leaders who epitomize black excellence such as Samuel L. Jackson, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Ken Griffey Jr. and Debbie Allen. This distinguished list honors champions who are changing the game by transforming people, policy or practices through their leadership. “To achieve these three honors and milestones for our brand and be recognized at this caliber feels surreal,” said Ogden. “Thank you to everyone in my life who has supported me in my pursuit of serving others…I truly believe anything and everything is possible if you work hard and believe in yourself!” To book Marques Ogden as a keynote speaker or for media inquiries, please contact Binh Nguyen at 717-389-2928 or binhdnguyenpr@gmail.com.
