Prarie View A&M University Partners With Princeton University In New Alliance To Expand Research and Innovation
Posted By: Reggie Culpepper on May 05, 2022 Prairie View A&M University’s (PVAMU) Vice President for Research & Innovation, Magesh Rajan, Ph.D., P.E., MBA, is proud to announce a new research and innovation venture with Princeton University (Princeton). Today, Princeton announced a new national initiative: Princeton Alliance for Collaborative Research and Innovation (PACRI). This program will pair a Princeton researcher with a researcher from an HBCU from a wide range of disciplines and they will co-lead a research or innovation project. “This Princeton University alliance is another phenomenal partnership for the outstanding researchers and innovators at Prairie View A&M,” said Vice President Rajan. “As a Carnegie R2 institution, PACRI opens another door of opportunity for our researchers to bring their unique and diverse perspectives into a collaborative effort that will impact an Ivy League institution and its students, while also amplifying the ingenuity and scholarly aptitude of PVAMU researchers and innovators.” Princeton partnered with UNCF to select five HBCUs for this inaugural venture that will pair Princeton researchers as co-leads with colleagues at PVAMU, Spelman College, Howard University, Jackson State University, and University of Maryland Eastern Shores. Each project will be funded for two years, up to a maximum of $250,000 per project. The start date will be September 1, 2022.
