Nine members of the Lincoln men's track & field team and 10 from the LU women's squad are headed to Allendale, Mich. to compete in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, hosted by Grand Valley State University from Thursday through Saturday (May 26-28).

The Lincoln men's outdoor track & field team is currently ranked No. 7 in the country according to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Division II rankings, and will have two athletes competing in three different events. Kizan David, recently named a finalist for the MIAA's Ken B. Jones Award, will represent the Blue Tigers in the long jump, the triple jump and the 4x100m relay. The relay squad owns the 10th-fastest time in DII while David is 11th nationally in the long jump and 20th in the triple jump. Jamar Treasure, meanwhile, will join David in the 4x100m relay and will also compete in the 100m and the 200m. Treasure is tied for seventh in the country in the 100m and is 17th in the 200m.

Reuben Nichols is the third member of the 4x100m relay team, and will also run in the 400m, where he currently leads the nation with a time of 46.15. Rounding out the 4x100m relay squad is Shemar Fletcher.

The Lincoln men will also race in the 4x400m relay, where the foursome of Troy Whyte, Kewani Campbell, Shanthamoi Brown and Kevaughn Goldson are currently ranked fifth in Division II.

Whyte, Campbell and Brown were also invited to compete in the 400m hurdles. Whyte is third in the nation in that event, while Campbell and Brown are respectively ranked fifth and 12th. Rounding out Lincoln's qualifiers on the men's side is Rashane Bartlett, who is ranked 13th in the 110m hurdles, and will vie in that event this weekend.

The Blue Tiger women will enter the national championships ranked No. 8 in the country, and will have five athletes competing in multiple events. That includes Kelly-Ann Beckford and Chrissani May, who will each compete in the 800m and as part of the 4x400m relay. Beckford is fourth nationally in the 800m while May is eighth, and LU's 4x400m relay team has the nation's second-fastest time.

Maria Diamond and Shevanae Thomas round out that 4x400m relay team, with Diamond additionally competing in the 400m hurdles, where she rates second nationally. Thomas, meanwhile, will compete in the 400m, where she has the 18th-quickest time among the athletes selected. Shanette Allison and Sophia Myers will each compete in the 100m hurdles, where they respectively rank third and eighth in the country.

The LU women will also compete in the 4x100m relay, where the foursome of Allison, Myers, Hughasia Fyffe, Shantae George and Monae Carey own the nation's sixth-fastest time. Rounding out the entries for the Blue Tiger women is Anna Barclay, who is 21st in the triple jump and will represent Lincoln in that event.
