ASUs Sydney Blackburn Named First Team All-American

Posted By: Kennedy Williams on June 07, 2022 Albany State University track and field standout, Sydney Blackburn, was named a 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field First Team All-American by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Sydney Blackburn recently competed in the 2022 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships that were held on May 26-28 at the Grand Valley State Track & Field Stadium in Allendale, Michigan. Blackburn finished 3rd in the Women's Discus Throw Championship. Sydney Blackburn also broke the SIAC record in the Discus Throw at the SIAC outdoor track and field conference championship event that was held on the campus of Winthrop University on April 21-23. Sydney is a sophomore from Pompano Beach, Florida. Sydney attended Highlands Christian Academy.
