Laikin Ramirez Joins Fisk University Women's Volleyball Team as Assistant Coach
|
Posted By: Kennedy Williams on June 08, 2022 Fisk University Head Volleyball Coach Jessica Enderle announced today that California native Laikin Ramirez has joined her staff as an assistant. Ramirez, who moved to Nashville two years ago and is coaching at the Alliance Volleyball Club, brings a wealth of experience to the position. Like Enderle, she has strong ties in the West Coast. Collegiately, she played for Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. where she starred as a libero and setter. "I have been incredibly impressed watching Laikin work at Alliance," said Enderle, "She really knows how to get the best out of her team. We have similarities on systems and training since we both come from the West Coast. We are excited about what she will bring in improving our back row and seters." Enderle is looking to win more games this year. Last year a second-place finish in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference was a great first step. This year she wants more. Winning is something that Ramirez is accustomed to as she helped her college team win conference championships in 2008 and 2009. Enderle is looking to complete her staff in the next few days with one more hire.
