Network Engineer As a network engineer, you'll design computer networks that allow users to access information, communicate, and share content. Network engineers develop and manage computer networks. These include local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other kinds of networks. As one, you will need to have a solid grasp of computer hardware and software, as well as networking protocols. Troubleshooting networking problems and solving problems effectively are required skills.
