Posted By: Kennedy Williams on July 29, 2022 Rust College guard, Keshon Tabb, has been selected to participate in the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Top 50 Camp from July 28-30 in Atlanta, GA. The NBPA, specifically the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) have developed a strategic partnership which will be showcased during the annual NBPA/HBCU Top 50 Camp benefiting HBCUs. The top 50 Basketball Camp will provide a unique educational and athletic experience for student-athletes from the SIAC and the SWAC. This unique partnership has also been created with the goal of cultivating and creating coaching and talent pipelines for current and retired NBA players who are exploring the possibility of transitioning into careers in intercollegiate athletics. Tabb is a senior, business management major and has been selected for this opportunity based on his performance during the 2021-2022 season: Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year, GCAC 1st Team All-Conference and GCAC 1st Team All Defense. Bearcats first-year Head-Coach, Michael Poindexter, says this opportunity will set Keshon up for a "great senior campaign" this coming season. Programming for the camp will begin at 7:00 PM on July 28. SOURCE Rust College If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
