Former Softball Player Angelia Jones To Play For TEAM USA In Border Battle XII

Posted By: Kennedy Williams on September 09, 2022 The Mississippi Valley State University softball program will have one of its former players showcased on Team USA Women's Futures Slow Pitch National Team as Angelia Jones will look to help the Stars and Stripes defeat Team Canada in Border Battle XII. "The annual international Slow Pitch event will see the USA Softball Men's Slow Pitch National Team (MSPNT), Women's Slow Pitch National Team (WSPNT), Men's Futures Slow Pitch National Team (Men's Futures), and Women's Futures Slow Pitch National Team (Women's Futures) compete in three days of action against the Canadian Men's and Women's Slow Pitch National Teams as well as various grassroots clubs. The competition will begin with a series of exhibition games before the Slow Pitch Showdown takes place as the Men's and Women's U.S. Slow Pitch National Teams face off against their respective U.S. Futures Teams. The weekend will conclude with Team USA matching up against Team Canada in the annual Border Battle contest slated for Sunday, Sept. 11 at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field." The three-day event takes place inside the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex, home of the Women's College World Series and National Softball Hall of Fame.
