501(c)(3)s in the metaverse... could they work? Operation: ADULTing™ that says: it does.

In spite of its charitable endeavours worldwide, Operation: ADULTing™ remains the best kept secret in the metaverse. Flying under the radar for quite some time now Operation: ADULTing™ is the ‘hypeOrg’ creating a world of opportunities within reach for those with and without a virtual reality headset.

Following the rising trend in cyberbullying, parents can feel a bit reassured to see a similar uptick in cyber do-gooders. With technology fusing with day to day life, non-profits like Operation: ADULTing are around to prep budding adults with practical skills, tools and knowledge needed to succeed in a post COVID-19 era. With the help of partners IRL such as PATHFINDERS’ Computer Science 4 All and heavyweights in the metaverse such as CONINVR’s VR Networking, Operation: ADULTing™ has harnessed the power of web3 to provide a safe environment to help young adults enjoy previously unattainable experiences, develop interest in STEAM fields and acquire applicable professional skills in exciting new industries while reducing consumption of real-world resources.

“Virtual reality makes learning immersive, leading to innovative solutions and a more solid comprehension of the topic or discussion at hand. While it’s great to meet online to host a virtual house party or talent show, we’ve gone a few steps further to focus on cultivating and structuring communities” says founder Martina Iwala.

Primarily working as a reality television and digital media producer, Martina is of Nigerian and Cameroonian descent, being the product of emigrating to the United States of America at a young age, Martina is far too familiar with its tribulations. “I’ve noticed young adults are mimicking the pattern of online usage at the dawn of dial-up internet with using web3 as a distraction from their real world issues or to simply look for answers to life’s problems. This is a breeding ground for trolls hungrily waiting to attack. Operation: ADULTing™ harnesses the power of human connection by creating more of a bartering system between 501(c)(3)s and for-profit counterparts. In order for there to be genuine systematic change, we’ve gotta learn the machine. One way to learn the machine is to receive access to the parts, equipment, training manuals, etc. Getting access to the aforementioned involves opening a door or two which is why we value the ability to give these young minds a glimpse into their dream careers through our IRL: Day in the Life program. By connecting our participants to companies with leaders who have faced similar challenges to ours and are unafraid to share their “rookie mistakes”, it not only provides a realistic perspective to a world otherwise left unknown but provides a chance for businesses to learn what future generations find valuable.”

Operation: ADULTing™ is not only creating IRL experiences for certain metropolitans but strives to bridge the access gap by creating an ecosystem of resources meant to shape young minds through professional development, financial literacy and inner engineering.
