VHB continues to grow and seeks to fill 200+ open positions. VHB recently hosted an interactive visibility and recruiting event through our continued partnership with HBCU Connect. More than 130 college students and professionals attended the virtual open house event where they had the opportunity to engage and connect with over 40 VHB employees. Attendees learned more about VHB’s game-changing projects, differentiating culture, and career opportunities at VHB and in the AEC industry. “I’m always happy to participate in the VHB and HBCU Connect Open House and share more about the critical role our industry plays in advancing a more resilient, sustainable, and equitable future,” said Mike Carragher, VHB President & CEO. “We greatly value our partnership with HBCU Connect. VHB’s long-term success, and the AEC industry as a whole, will rely on diverse skills, perspectives, and life experiences to do the best level of problem-solving for our clients.” Will Moss, founder and CEO of HBCU Connect, moderated the event and was joined by Mike Carragher and Keri Kocur, VHB’s Chief People Officer, who highlighted VHB’s culture, project work, and career opportunities in the industry. Attendees heard from four VHB panelists about their experience working at VHB and participated in breakout room discussions with representatives from VHB’s core disciplines, benefits team, early career, and corporate support team members. “It was a great experience participating in the event. I loved how HBCU Connect and the VHB panelists made it engaging, informative, and yet fun,” commented one attendee. “Events like this are instrumental as we look to continue to attract diverse, innovative, and inspired professionals. I’ve already connected with many of the attendees on LinkedIn, and participants have shared how much they enjoyed the event and connecting with so many of our employees. We also are seeing candidates creating profiles in our Career Center to apply for jobs or learn about future opportunities, which is really exciting,” reported Day Perez, Talent Acquisition Manager. Interested candidates should create a profile in VHB’s Career Center and select areas of career interest to receive notifications about available internships and jobs in your preferred discipline.
