Posted By: Bethsave Lozano on January 25, 2023 Greetings, I hope all is well. My name is Bethsave Lozano, I am the Interim Director of the Office of Diversity & Inclusion at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. As part of my role, I coordinate a variety of pre-dental pipeline programs for K-12 and college students with underrepresented and/or disadvantaged backgrounds to encourage them to pursue a career in Dentistry, and to provide them with resources and support for succeeding in dental school and their future careers as a Dentist or Dental Hygienist. I am writing to share information about our Summer Enrichment Program (SEP), the Summer Enrichment Program is a free program that aims to assist Underrepresented Racial Minority (URM) in the field of dentistry from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds with gaining admission to dental school and succeeding in their future careers in dentistry. We would appreciate if you could share this with juniors, seniors or recent college graduates (within the last 5 years) who may be interested in this program. The application opened on November 1, 2022, and the deadline is February 15, 2023 by 5pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). Acceptance decisions will be emailed to applicants by the end of March 2023. For questions about the SEP program or the application process, please email dental_diversity@udmercy.edu.
