GE Appliances Empowers HBCU Students with Exciting New Partnership with HBCU Connect!
|
Posted By: S. Moore on February 06, 2023 At GE Appliances we come together to make good things for life. We are creators, thinkers, and makers who believe that anything is possible and that there’s always a better way. We’re a company powered by our people, made stronger through our diversity — allowing us to grow closer than ever before to our owners, anticipate their needs and enhance their lives. Saying that you desire a diverse workforce is not enough; you also need to meaningfully invest in it. That is why we have our best interests in partnering with HBCU Connect — because we know that recruiting, developing, and retaining outstanding professionals from historically excluded groups enables us to succeed by bringing in fresh perspectives, breaking barriers, and creating a more inclusive environment. Our emphasis on inclusion, diversity, fostering stronger communities, and assisting people in finding the resources they need to succeed speaks to the positive impact our program could have on young people especially from HBCUs. GE Appliances HBCU Connect Scholarship Program New for the 2023 partnership between GE Appliances and HBCU Connect is the rollout of a special scholarship for students enrolled in a 4 year degree program at an accredited HBCU graduating between December 2023 and May 2026. The scholarship will offer two students $1,000 towards tuition, room & board or books. For full details and to apply for the scholarship, visit: https://hbcuconnect.com/gea-scholarship About Us Born in the U.S. and backed by the world’s largest appliance brand, we’re the fastest-growing appliance manufacturing company in the U.S., with more than a century of industry experience.
