Defensive Effort Leads Jackson State Ladies Past Bethune-Cookman

Moore on February 14, 2023 DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.| The Jackson State women’s basketball team kept Bethune-Cookman to just 14.3 percent from deep in a 2-for-14 shooting performance on the way to a 77-52 win against the Wildcats on the road Monday eveing at Moore Gymnasium. Jackson State had three players score in double figures, led by Jariyah Covington, who had 17 points. Ti’lan Boler tacked on 16 points, six assists and three steals and Daphane White helped out with 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Led by Alexis Roberts’ three offensive rebounds, Jackson State did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 16 boards that resulted in eight second chance points. JSU did an incredible job disrupting Bethune-Cookman shots in the contest, coming away with eight blocks. White’s two rejections led the way individually for the Tigers. How It Happened
