Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on February 23, 2023 This upcoming summer, the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine will host 40 students in the Summer Medical Leadership Program (SMLP), a medical academic enrichment program. SMLP begins on June 5 and concludes on July 14. Currently, we are accepting applications. Prospective students can learn more about the application process and apply online at https://med.virginia.edu/diversity-equity-... To be considered for admission, prospective students must apply by March 31st and submit two letters of recommendation, upload their transcript (an unofficial copy will suffice), and complete three personal statements. More About The Program The Summer Medical Leadership Program is a FREE six-week medical enrichment program for undergraduate students from underrepresented groups and disadvantaged backgrounds who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine.
