Hailing from Bay City, Michigan, located about 100 miles north of Detroit, Julian Sevilla aka Via The Great has made a name for himself in the Great Lakes Bay Region of Michigan. Locally, he is the most sought after producer/songwriter in the region. This region is so tucked away because of its small size, with nearby Flint having the most of the attention in the area, that you would never had known that Madonna (Material Girl) was also from Bay City, Michigan. With the internet being the leading resource for people to find good new music, Via has found a way to reach many clients that was outside of the area. His studio is constantly booked by the local artist from the areas of Bay City, Saginaw, Midland, and Flint, Michigan. Via, started at the age of 12 years old, studying to play the piano. He was influenced to play the piano by his great grandmother who was also a piano teacher in the small town of Bay City, Michigan. He grew up listening to Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, and sounds from the 80s. Although growing up in the 90s he was influenced by rap, hip hop, and Rock and Roll bands. He also grew up listening to a lot of Christian and classical music that his great grandmother would instill in him. He crafted his style by combining classical techniques that he had learned and created while becoming a real rap/hip hop fan. When he discovered that he had a singing voice, he captivated a singing/rap style technique that gave him an incredible and unique sound and flavor that represents what he is today. After discovering that music is his passion, he dedicated his heart and soul into his music. Via started out producing music for other local artist. He began receiving request to perform his own songs and to release his own brand of music. In an interview with Worldwide Core Radio Via stated, “ that becoming an artist was something he never really thought about because all he wanted to do was to be a song writer and a producer, because that is what was paying his bills”. After a local performance in Detroit, Via became known as Via The Great. Due to his success, Via has opened for National Recording Rap artist such as Mystikal, Bizzare of D12, and Royce Da 5’9’. He received a very good reception of his flow, style, and production. Via has produced music tracks for Detroit artist such as Seven the General. He also teamed up with Detroit Rap Artist Hatch and from that meeting his production credits includes “Pre Roll”, “I’m A Warrior”, “No Love Involved” and “Let em Breathe” all released on Spotify. In 2017, Via The Great teamed up with Los Angeles Legend DJ Chris The Glove Taylor and together they produce songs such as Drippin Sauce, OK, and Bandz. Via The Great has partnered with TMG Recordings to distribute his brand of music. He is headed for bigger and better things as he prepares to take the world by storm with a single, video and album release coming soon.
