MS-CC Needs Your Input! Complete Our 2023 Stakeholder Survey

MS-CC Needs Your Input! Complete Our 2023 Stakeholder Survey
Posted By: Teniola Agbesanwa on February 27, 2023

The Minority Serving - Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (MS-CC) is seeking input from our community to inform our planning in setting priorities for 2023. Please complete this short MS-CC stakeholder survey by March 18, 2023. The survey consists of 11 questions and will take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

We have been conducting stakeholder surveys since December 2020 to help us identify community needs and establish priorities for upcoming workshops and other consortium activities.

For example, the MS-CC pulse survey from 2022 identified cybersecurity and workforce training as community priorities, and that resulted in cyberinfrastructure and cybersecurity workshops at North Carolina A&T State University, Jackson State University, and Salish Kootenai College in 2022, with additional workshops being planned at Claflin University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2023.

It is important for us to hear from you. Please take a moment to complete our MS-CC stakeholder survey by March 18, 2023.

Questions? We have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions below. You can also direct your questions about the MS-CC stakeholder survey at any time to Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld at WayMark Analytics: joel@waymarksystems.org. WayMark Analytics developed the MS-CC survey and will be analyzing the results.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this survey about? The stakeholder survey will provide MS-CC with guidance on your priorities and items of importance to your institution that may influence the direction of MS-CC programs and initiatives.

Who is an MS-CC stakeholder? We use the term stakeholder to refer to the full spectrum of “rights holders” (such as first nations), parties with a financial or substantive “stake” in the success of MS-CC, and additional interested parties. Our goal is to identify points where there is sufficient common interest for the community brought together by MS-CC to accomplish together what they can’t do separately.

What am I being asked to do? Complete the MS-CC stakeholder survey, which is estimated to take approximately 10 minutes.

Is my participation in the survey voluntary? Your participation is voluntary. You may refuse to participate, stop at any time, and not answer any question.

Will my responses to the survey be confidential? Yes. All answers to survey questions will be stored separately from your consent portion of the survey (which includes your name and email address). If there are future stakeholder mapping surveys, your responses to this survey may be linked to later responses while still keeping your name and email address out of the data set.

What are the benefits of the survey? You will be helping MS-CC to prioritize programs and initiatives.

Is there compensation for participating in the survey? There is no compensation for participation.

Will there be additional uses of the data? In addition to a report to the community, the data may be used (without identifying information) in scholarly research. This includes making a de-identified version of the data available to researchers in a community accepted, trusted data repository.

Who is conducting the survey? The MS-CC stakeholder survey is being conducted by WayMark Analytics. If you have questions, concerns, or complaints at any time about the
MS-CC stakeholder survey, please contact Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld at joel@waymarksystems.org
