Each fellow will receive $7,500, training and support to complete a solutions reporting project and a community engagement event during the cohort year. The fellows will also receive travel expenses to attend 2 days of training at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute July 31-Aug. 1, just before the NABJ Conference in Birmingham. You can find out how to apply here and sign up for an information session about the application process. Applications are also still open for the Student Media Challenge, a grant-funded collegiate cohort for the 2023-24 academic year offering $10,000 stipends to student newsrooms. The cohort will receive training and support to complete solutions journalism projects focused on student mental health. Here's a link to a full description of the program and how to apply.
