Joshua Pryor looking to become first Bowie State player to be selected in the NFL Draft

Posted By: S. Moore on April 19, 2023 WASHINGTON (7News) — The 2023 NFL Draft is always one of the biggest events on the calendar. Be sure to pay attention to the name, Joshua Pryor. The edge rusher is trying to become the first player in Bowie State University history to be drafted in the NFL. 7News Sports Anchor Scott Abraham caught up with Pryor about potentially making some school history. "It would mean the world to me. Coming from Bowie State, I have so much pride for my school," Pryor said. "I really want to see them flourish and continue to grow. I want to put a bigger spotlight on my school. That would be a great start." Back in February, the Baltimore native opened some eyes with his performance at the HBCU Legacy Bowl. He finished his college career with 32 sacks. Pryor is already starting to visualize what his Draft Day moment might look like. "It's going to be an unreal moment for me. To be honest, a lot of this process is unreal until after the fact when you can sit back and reflect on it," Pryor said. "I know I'm going to be around my family, just try to enjoy that time with them and really just cherish what I've been through and how I got to this point. From there, just put my head down and go to work." Round one of the NFL Draft will be broadcast live on 7News on Thursday, April 27 at 8 p.m., rounds two and three can be seen live on April 28 at 7 p.m., and rounds four through seven take place April 29 with coverage beginning at 12 p.m. SOURCE WJLA Available at https://wjla.com/sports/nfl-draft/2023-nfl...
