Aetna Better Health Appoints Tangela Parker as Head of Community Affairs & Marketing

Posted By: Tangela Parker on May 02, 2023 Veteran marketing executive Tangela Parker has joined Aetna Better Health, a CVS Health Company, as the Head of Community Affairs and Marketing. In this role, Parker will lead Community Affairs and shape Aetna’s marketing strategy to drive effective member engagement. Parker joins CVS Health from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), where she was the Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy. She led the global brand marketing strategy for all public-facing passenger engagement and developed vital local and national relationships to enhance ATL’s brand. An established senior executive and business leader with more than 20 years of experience in both public and private healthcare sectors, Parker has been recognized for her success in driving profitable, sustainable growth. “I am honored and excited to join Aetna Better Health; it is important to execute programs that remove the environmental barriers the underserved communities face when accessing quality healthcare.” Parker previously held senior-level positions with WellCare Health Plans, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare. She graduated from Alcorn State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and completed the Executive Leadership program at Harvard Business School.
