Grammy award-winning gospel superstar Tamela Mann will headline the Faith, Family & Football Gospel Concert presented by The Good Feet Store on Saturday, Sept. 2. The concert is among several highlights surrounding the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic over Labor Day weekend.

Mann’s performance will be part of the multi-event HBCU Family Block Party that will kick off at 11 a.m. at Centennial Plaza in downtown Canton. The concert is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. The Block Party and Gospel Concert are free and open to the public thanks to partners like the Good Feet Store, Visit Canton and ArtsinStark.

The 2023 Faith, Family & Football Gospel Concert presented by The Good Feet Store will feature Tamela Mann.(Opens in a new window)The concert is free, but there are limited reserved seating and combo event packages available for purchase. Additional information is available below.

Mann, a 2022 inductee into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame, has taken nine hits to No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart, with the chart-topping “Take Me to the King” at the top for 25 weeks.

Mann began her singing career with the gospel group Kirk Franklin and the Family before starting a solo career. She has garnered numerous awards that include a Grammy, Billboard Music Award, NAACP Image Award, multiple Stellar Awards and GMA Dove Award. She also has won a BET Award.

This community-focused event will be filled with nonstop entertainment, food trucks from the area’s best vendors and appearances from the Morehouse College and Virginia Union University marching bands.

There is limited reserved concert seating available for $25. Or stay for the weekend and enjoy a premium Gospel Concert and Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic combo experience which includes unlimited non-alcoholic beverages at the concert, a Classic T-shirt and either a club seat that includes food and beverage or a reserved seat at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

Your reserved seat will be close to the stage to enjoy Tamala Mann at Centennial Plaza all while enjoying free non-alcoholic beverages from Jerzees Café from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Then don’t miss the excitement of the Classic atmosphere with either a club seat with great food and beverages included or a reserved seat at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
