As one of 105 Historically Black Colleges and Universities, ABC is highly recognized for its liberal arts academic program of social justice, equity, advocacy, and leadership, boasting of its civil rights legacy and President Medal of Freedom awards to alums, the late Georgia U.S. Representative John Lewis and public intellectual activist, the Reverend C. T. Vivian. Offering undergraduate programs in Biblical and Theological Studies, Behavioral Studies, Entrepreneurial Studies, Music Arts, and General Studies, ABC is extraordinarily well served by effective administrators and dedicated faculty and staff, who foster rich opportunities for students and celebrate the successes of our graduates in church and society. Impacting every ABC student and employee daily, the CFO's administrative oversight covers areas including the Budget and Controller's office, Campus Sustainability, Environmental Safety, Financial Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Physical Plant, Procurement, and Campus Security. Reporting directly to the College President as part of the President's Senior Management Team, the CFO plays a significant role ensuring that all aspects of the finances, business, operations and facilities work collaboratively to support students, faculty, and staff. The Vice President for Business and Finance Division directs the College's financial management, administrative, and business planning activities in collaboration with leaders from the campus' academic and administrative units. The CFO is responsible for implementing effective Business Model and customer-oriented business processes to improve services for the College's constituents and helps advance ABC's strategic goals by securing resources from various revenue streams. The successful candidate will provide vision, executive leadership, and management/oversight of assigned areas while advancing ABC's commitment to justice and equity, inclusion, and diversity. The Vice President of Business and Finance/CFO also works with the President’s Senior Management Team in the development and implementation of campus-wide and master plan strategies, plans for financial management, federal grant management while representing the interest of ABC in the local community, Federal government, and throughout the HBCU network as well oversees the Business Office Staff and Controller.
