Savannah State to play Albany State in first ever HBCU Coastal City Classic

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Savannah State Tigers football is set to take part in the first-ever HBCU Coastal City Classic against Albany State later on this year at Glynn County Stadium.

The HBCU Coastal City Classic press conference ahead of the inaugural Coastal City Classic Football game between the Albany State and Savannah State this fall.

The city held a press conference with members of the coaching staff and athletic directors.

The Classic weekend will feature the Coastal City Classic Golf Tournament, Coaches Luncheon, and game day will feature a pregame Greek Fest, Pep Rally, and Celebrity Pre-Game Concert. The halftime show features the Battle of the Bands.

The inaugural HBCU Coastal City Classic Football game between the Golden Rams and the Tigers is set for Sept. 23, and will be nationally televised on the Peacock Channel.
