|
Posted By: S. Moore on September 05, 2023 FEATURED Content In a collaborative effort, Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and HBCU Connect joined forces to host a virtual recruitment event on August 23, 2023, and the results were nothing short of remarkable. Now having partnered with HBCU Connect on more than 9 events, J&J wanted to focus on roles in their Supply Chain organization targeting professionals with Manufacturing Science and Technology experience as well as Process Engineers and Digital Strategy professionals. With a goal of 75 candidates, the event saw an overwhelming response, with over 260 interested candidates, 206 confirmed attendees, and a maximum concurrent of 126 participants. The energy in the room was palpable as supply chain professionals, process engineers, and pharmaceutical/manufacturing scientists gathered to learn about career opportunities with J&J. The event began with a warm welcome from Larry Jemison, HBCU Connect's VP of Business Development, setting the tone for an engaging and informative session. Attendees were treated to insights into J&J's culture and values, followed by a panel discussion with J&J employees, providing invaluable insights into specific career paths within the company. Following the event, one attendee said, "Thank you all for this event! Great info, and definitely excited about a chance to join the organization!". HBCU Connect is grateful to J&J for partnering with us on this event. We are also grateful to the panelists who participated, they were kind, welcoming, and eager to provide excellent advice to all individuals, exemplifying the J&J company culture. We hope this event will inspire other companies to partner with HBCU Connect in order to connect with varied talent. We can create a more equal and inclusive workforce by working together.
