[Washington, DC September 27, 2023] – Renowned Congresswoman Maxine Waters, along with legendary hip hop artists T.I. and Yo-Yo, gathered to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the hip hop culture and highlight the significance of Black excellence in the entertainment industry. Congresswoman Waters, a staunch advocate for social justice and civil rights, hosted the celebration in recognition of the profound impact that hip hop has had on American culture over the past half-century.
