N Carolina Singer, Rapper & Influencer TYMiR Drops Lead Single "It Is What It Is"

When people discuss North Carolina hip hop, they frequently include J Cole, Petey Pablo, Colonel Loud, and Da Baby without realizing how radically different each of their musical styles is. The soulful and neo tones like K-Ci & JoJo,Anthony Hamilton, Fantasia Barrino, or even Sunshine Anderson come to mind when you think about R&B. The talent in the state is booming, and although they come from the same place, they all have their own distinct styles and flair. The industry is paying close attention this year as the young and ambitious TYMiR blends Hip Hop with R&B with his #DrillNB sound. TYMiR doesn’t have a heart-wrenching story about falling victim as a product of his environment. He is supported by people all throughout his city and is welcomed by his surroundings. Young and ambitious, he is expressing himself creatively and vocally, drawing inspiration from the greats who came before him. Most of his inspiration comes from his grandfather, who instilled in him the wisdom to "always keep your head up and keep pushing, no matter how tired you get or how bad situations are." He approaches his music with the same mindset. He has had his uncle encourage him to pursue music since he was a little child, and he still has a fantastic leadership team by his side now. Fans will witness TYMiR's ability to produce a variety of sounds over the upcoming year, which makes him stand out. He claims King of #DrillNB because of how easily he can sing to the ladies over drill beats- that may have been meant for hardcore lyrics. Being able to both sing and rap makes it easy for him to get creative in the studio and having a history of singing in the church growing up also plays a major role in his skillset.TYMiR debuted as a solo artist in the fall of 2023 with the release of his debut single, "It Is What It Is" (IIWII). It made its radio debut in both Charlotte and Raleigh in its first week and has received a lot of great reactions from DJs across the country. He considers "IIWII" a mood single saying,“If you ever feel your significant other is on some weird type time, been cheating, or just been hurt before- It Is What It Is! Don't force nothing and let everything be as it is.” As he and his team continue to push the single into the new year, new fans can expect to hear more soon. He hopes to be doing more performances and continue influencing his peers to chase their dreams.
