In a pioneering collaboration between Howard University’s Swim and Dive Team and Warner Bros. Pictures, an exciting event is set to unfold at the iconic Burr Gymnasium on Saturday, December 9th, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The “Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom Special Practice and Day Party” promises to be a convergence of athleticism and cinematic anticipation, with a live DJ amplifying the experience.

The event marks a milestone for Howard University, renowned for its historical significance as a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), as it ventures into uncharted territory by hosting a swimming event that fuses sports and entertainment. This collaboration not only showcases the talents of the university’s Swim and Dive Team but also exemplifies a new wave of engagement between HBCUs and the film industry.



Scheduled just weeks before the theatrical release of “Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom” on December 22nd, the event offers attendees an exclusive sneak peek into the underwater world of Atlantis. The practice session, enhanced by a live DJ, is open to the public, with free admission for all.
