Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale Featured at Tampa Wild Card Game

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on January 16, 2024 Bethune-Cookman University held a special part in the NFL Wild Card game in Tampa on Jan. 15. Dozens of Bethune-Cookman Wildcats recently traveled to Tampa for a special tribute in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During halftime of the Jan. 15 NFL Wild Card matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles, the B-CU Concert Chorale performed some of Dr. King’s favorite songs, including “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” “I Can See Clearly Now,” and “Way Over in Beulah Land.” The invitation came after the NFL announced it would celebrate Dr. King’s legacy throughout Wild Card weekend and launched the Realizing the Dream initiative to unite and uplift communities across the country by inspiring a movement of meaningful acts of service by the 100th anniversary of Dr. King’s birth.
