New 2024 Buick Envista Subcompact SUV is Under $25k and Loaded

New 2024 Buick Envista Subcompact SUV is Under $25k and Loaded
Posted By: Randi Payton on February 04, 2024

I recently took a week-long drive in the all-new 2024 Buick Envista Avenir subcompact SUV and was impressed by its spunky performance and design. Buick continues to outdo itself with this affordable addition to its lineup.

An ideal and affordable new vehicle for those seeking a smaller SUV under $25k, the all-new 2024 Buick Envista Avenir has a sophisticated and modern exterior design. It is a head-turner that spotlights its iconic badging and mesh front grille. The sleek design emphasizes its sporty stance and calls attention to the front grille. From the LED headlights to the curvy lines, it looks like it’s moving forward while standing still.

Starting around $23,495, the Envista is an affordable coupe-like SUV with a semi-luxurious interior. It further insinuates Buick’s reputation for providing advanced technology and creature comforts, making it ideal for extended trips or urban commutes. Despite its compact size, there is ample space for both front and backseat passengers to stretch out.

Power: Although the 2024 Buick Envista is not a speedster, it is smooth, spirited, and fuel-efficient. Under the hood is seats a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder that generates 136 horsepower. All models are front-wheel drive that is complimented by a six-speed automatic transmission.

Models/Price: Trim levels include the Envista Preferred ($23,495), the Sport Touring ($25,195), and the Avenir ($29,695) MSRP.

The 2024 Envista Avenir I drove was fully loaded with a host of advanced performance and tech features, including an 11.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8.0-inch digital gauge that is intuitive and responsive, providing easy access to navigation, music, and smartphone integration. The Envista Avenir model features include premium leather upholstery, wood accents, heated and ventilated seats, stability control, tilt steering, keyless start, wireless phone projection, and Onstar service for three years.

Safety: All Envista models have a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, lane-departure and lane-keeping assists, high beams, and available adaptive cruise control. The top-of-line Avenir model has additional safety features, generally found in higher priced vehicles, including following distance and collision alerts, front pedestrian braking, and intelligent high beam headlights.

Fuel Economy: According to the EPA estimates, the Envista averages 28 city/32 highway mpg. The price, as tested, was $30,490 MSRP, which included a $795 option package and a $1,095 destination charge.
