Coppin State University Announces Homecoming 2024: Feb 18-25, 2024

We welcome all to join us in celebrating 124 years of Coppin State history, honoring the community we have built, and instilling pride in Eagle Nation through active engagement of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of our illustrious institution. Homecoming Theme Our 2024 Homecoming theme is The Rebirth: Born to BE MORE, an extension of our historic BE MORE Capital Campaign , the largest multi-year fundraising initiative in Coppin history. The BE MORE Capital Campaign will permanently transform the university and surrounding community. With Coppin's most aspiring goal ever - to raise $25 million by 2025 - this is a pivotal moment for Coppin State University. The BE MORE Capital Campaign aligns with trailblazer and namesake Fanny Jackson Coppin’s deep conviction that she was entrusted to ensure her race was “crowned with strength and dignity and adorned with the enduring grace of intellectual attainments”. The BE MORE Capital Campaign will build the capacity and infrastructure of the university, yielding investments in the following strategic priorities and creating a ripple effect in our communities: * Student Achievement and Retention * Academic Excellence * Top-Tier Research * Elevate Eagle Athletics * Grow our Endowment While the campaign has been in its silent phase since 2021, the public launch of Coppin’s BE MORE Capital Campaign provides an opportunity to highlight and celebrate Coppin’s bright future and reemergence after the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. We invite everyone in Baltimore and beyond to BE MORE for Coppin and experience Coppin State University for themselves. There are nearly two dozen events scheduled during Coppin State Homecoming Week 2024. All are welcome to enjoy food and fun, celebrate Coppin’s history, community, and global impact. Homecoming Event Highlights * State of the University Address February 22 | 12 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. | James Weldon Johnson Auditorium Coppin State University President Anthony L.
