Posted By: Beverly Johnson on February 23, 2024

Today on TRIBE Family Channel I will be chatting with the phenomenal team behind the movie, "BAR DADDY!"

BAR DADDY shares the story of a dynamic and incredibly selfless Black lawyer, Al Jenkins, who has dedicated his life for over 40 years to helping more Black people fulfill their dreams of becoming lawyers, through conquering the notoriously difficult California Bar Exam.

Al Jenkins has been tutoring Black law school graduates from his kitchen table, free of charge, since 1976.  He is over 80 years old and continues helping students to this day.

Join us with our friend Author, Educator and Filmmaker of "Robbed: A Mother's Peril", Stacie McClam, along with BAR DADDY'S Director Jay Gerren and Executive Producer Michael Preston, to discuss the making of this breakout movie!
