From clothes to school supplies to personal items, it's important to make sure you have everything you need for your new adventure. To help you out, we'll share some essential items that you should pack when moving to your dorm or apartment. Whether you're a high school senior or a returning student, these tips will help you pack smart and make the transition to college life a smooth one. Let's start! Clothing Essentials When packing for college, it's important to bring a variety of clothing options. Include casual clothes for class, workout gear for the gym, dressier outfits for special events, and of course, plenty of comfy loungewear for relaxing in your dorm. Don't forget to pack essentials like underwear, socks, and pajamas as well. And don't forget to throw in your few favorite pieces, so you can reminisce on those memories once you're settled in your new place. Bedding and Towels Most college dorms provide a mattress, but you'll need to bring your own bedding. Make sure to pack sheets, a comforter, pillows, and a mattress pad for added comfort. Don't forget to bring towels, hand towels, and washcloths for the bathroom. Consider packing a few extra sets of sheets and towels so you won't have to do laundry as often. Consider packing some non-perishable food items for those late-night study sessions when the dining hall is closed.
