Posted By: Byron Edmond on April 09, 2024 "PRESS RELEASE April 1, 2024 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE" "Empowering Atlanta's Maternal Health Workforce at Clark Atlanta University" "Atlanta, GA - In observance of National Black Maternal Health Week, April 11-17, join us at Clark Atlanta University for an impactful breakfast session dedicated to empowering and mentoring the next generation of physicians focused on women's wellness. The event will be held on the CAU campus at the Thomas Cole Research Center in the Aldridge Auditorium, located at 223 James P Brawley Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30314. This call to action is directed toward Atlanta's maternal health workforce, including local physicians, OB/GYN physicians, medical students, and residents. Together, we'll mentor and encourage a group of AUC Pre-Medical/Pre-Health Students who represent the future leaders in Women's Health. Free Registration: Attendees can register for free on Eventbrite. Livestream Available: The panel portion of the event will be livestreamed, providing an opportunity for remote participation. Our distinguished lineup of speakers include: Shanna Cox, MSPH - Associate Director, Division of Reproductive Health, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, CDC, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (Clark Atlanta University graduate) Michelle Mitchell, Ph.D. - Associate Professor, Licensed Psychologist, Clark Atlanta University Tamika L.
