My Research Was Recognized by White Folks.....

Posted By: Jason Breckenridge on April 20, 2024 For over a year now, I've been trying to get a HBCU to recognize my research because if black students aren't studying to eliminate white supremacy...who tf will ya know? I like that I was able to chronicle this journey on this site, HBCU CONNECT. No one will ever be able to say that I didn't try to bring Planetary Chess to HBCU's. However, as my last blog post suggested... talking to HBCU people about eradicating systemic racism has been utterly useless. But... lo and behold... some white folks have published my research! As I understand the research game, only 20% of research papers are published in international peer reviewed journals and it is thus the goal of most researchers. Now supposedly, research published in journals bring recognition to the university of which the researcher is a part of..... Imagine that, here I am trying to help racism centers further their message, get recognition and make available the opportunity for profit.... and mfs scared to even acknowledge me as verified by the Denial Diary. Two other papers I wrote was invited and accepted into international peer reviewed journals. Ordinarily, the university of which I do research for would happily pay the APC to get that recognition but... all the HBCU's that I've tried to get in touch with seem to be scared of a counter racist initiative. All of my research papers can be found on the preprint platform, SSRN. Since joining the site in January, I'm ranked in the top 85% of all authors on the site. I said I was done posting on this site after my last blog but I figured I'd give you all one more chance before I make these white folks pay up to empower black folks. I just want to conduct research about ending white supremacy on an HBCU campus..is that such an unfathomable thing?!?!?!?! Such a sad thing that I need approval from white folks..just to be in the conversation about ending systemic racism.
