Over these years, Mr. Escovedo has led several bands featuring Salsa, Latin Jazz, and Rhythm and Blues. Many of his performances are with established venues such as Yoshi's Oakland, The Empress Theater in Vallejo, Vibrato's in Bel Air, and the Catalina Jazz Club, and he does business directly with established music promoters who promote and book bands. Juan has also toured in Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and nationwide. Juan Escovedo books his bands with Personal Manager/Assistant Dr. Gethsemane Moss. Juan Escovedo: Juan Escovedo released his first solo CD, THE J, on November 8, 2021, at his official record release party with two sold-out shows in Oakland. This CD elevates your soul with a masterfully crafted sound and rhythm meticulously created with an orchestra of seasoned sound that promises to take your breath away. The city of Oakland declared November 8 Juan Escovedo as he was presented with a proclamation by former Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf. Angel, the first single, features singer-songwriter El DeBarge with Martin Kember from Color Me Badd. Raphael Saadiq plays bass on two songs, Eddie M plays saxophone on two songs, and All seven music videos are available on the Juan Escovedo YouTube channel.
