Within just two short years, Meme made the bold decision to pivot from Public Health to cosmetology, fully committing herself to her newfound passion. Today, as the CEO of Silk Me Kids, Meme Kelly stands as a beacon of innovation and empowerment. Her brand not only encompasses the first kids' hair salon and spa in the New Orleans area but also a meticulously curated line of hair care products designed specifically for youth. Silk Me Kids specializes in addressing the unique needs of children's hair, focusing on healthy hair care and repair, growth and moisture retention, and managing unmanageable hair with precision and care. Meme also offers a junior cosmetology program where she teaches children ages 7-17 various aspects of cosmetology, including fundamentals of hair, braiding, hair styling, fantasy hair and updos, makeup, and nail care.
