ALLEN MEDIA GROUP’S HBCU GO LAUNCHES EXCITING COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON

The games will feature teams from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), showcasing some of the most exciting matchups in HBCU football. Byron Allen, founder, chairman, and CEO of Allen Media Group, expressed pride in showcasing these premier HBCU matchups, emphasizing HBCU Go as the definitive destination for coverage of Black college sports and culture. This initiative marks the third football season for HBCU Go, aiming to elevate the visibility and importance of HBCU athletics on a national stage. The games will be syndicated to broadcast stations in major markets such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Memphis, Detroit, Sacramento, Miami, Tampa, and Pittsburgh. Nationally, the games will appear on AMG's theGrio Television Network, expanding the reach of HBCU sports coverage. Additionally, select games will be available on digital platforms including the HBCU Go mobile app and AMG's free streaming platforms like theGrio Gold and Local Now. Curtis Symonds, president of HBCU Go, emphasized the comprehensive nature of this season's coverage, promising an exciting lineup that includes marquee events like the Southern Heritage Classic, multiple homecoming games, and the CIAA Football Championship. This initiative aims not only to entertain but also to celebrate the rich athletic tradition and cultural significance of HBCUs, fostering greater support and engagement with these institutions nationwide.
