PROMINENT HBCU FACULTY MEMBER APPOINTED TO AMERICAN COLLEGE HEALTH ASSOCIATION

Moore, the Executive Director of Health Services, has been appointed as a member-at-large on the Board of Directors for the American College Health Association (ACHA). Dr. Moore, who has been with ACHA since 2019, has ascended through the organization thanks to her outstanding contributions, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Serving on the ACHA COVID Task Force, she played a pivotal role in shaping national guidelines that provided crucial support to colleges and universities across the United States, ensuring they could continue operations safely amid unprecedented challenges. Dr. Moore's leadership extends to her significant impact within the HBCU Coalition, where she initiated key initiatives such as the annual ACHA HBCU Summit. She also championed reforms in the pricing model for national assessments, fostering greater participation from HBCUs and other institutions facing resource constraints. In recognition of her expertise and dedication, Dr. Moore was selected as the guest editor for a special 2024 edition of the Journal of American College Health, focusing on the unique contributions of HBCUs in promoting student health and well-being.
