Jakes’ Spring 2023 release of the Lifetime movie Pride: A Seven Deadly Sins Story, Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular, Audible’s Breakthrough Podcast and currently on Fox’s I Can See Your Voice hosted by Ken Jeong. Ray’s tenure as Music Director on network television started with the longest running show in syndication – It’s Showtime at the Apollo (NBC). His career continued with American Idol (FOX), Sunday Best (BET), Rising Star (ABC), Singing Bee (NBC), multiple award shows and specials on BET Networks, the 65th Annual Emmy Awards and the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball in 2008. Ray is known for his ability to create unique musical pairings and opportunities for artists to shine on stage and screen. Whether it be Carrie Underwood, Pharrell Williams, Jazmine Sullivan, Justin Beiber, Alicia Keys or Chaka Khan – artists trust his musical guidance, versatility and collaborative production style. From the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. to the Oslo Spektrum in Norway and Lincoln Center in New York, Ray’s work with orchestras as a conductor and a composer has carried him to prestigious venues all over the world. Ray, alongside his wife/business partner, Vivian Scott Chew have produced numerous sold out shows at the famed Carnegie Hall and are returning on Saturday, December 14th 2024 with their fifth iteration of "A Night of Inspiration" concert series featuring some of the world’s most notable secular and non-secular artists.
