According to Niche’s 2024 Colleges with the Best Professors ranking, JSU stands out due to its professors' exemplary performance and commitment to student success. The rankings are derived from a comprehensive analysis of key metrics and student reviews, including the professor salary index, student-faculty ratio, and faculty diversity index, all based on data from the U.S. Department of Education. JSU Provost Dr. Denise Jones Gregory expressed pride in the faculty’s recognition, emphasizing their role in fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment. She highlighted that the professors at JSU consistently uphold high standards of acumen and leadership, which significantly contributes to the students' professional and personal development. Caleab Pickens, the 79th President of JSU’s Student Government Association and a student in the College of Health Sciences, echoed this sentiment.
